Gervasi Siderúrgica proudly participated in MINERACON 2026 – Mining Engineers’ Week, an event organized by the Association of Mining Engineers of Minas Gerais (ASSEMG), held from July 7 to 10 at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
MINERACON was created to bring together mining professionals, companies, researchers, students, and institutions in an environment dedicated to technical development, innovation, networking, and the advancement of Mining Engineering. Throughout the four-day event, attendees took part in technical lectures, panel discussions, workshops, business exhibitions, and live podcasts covering strategic topics such as sustainability, ESG, the circular economy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, climate change, operational safety, and the future of the Brazilian mining industry.
During yesterday’s program, Gervasi had the honor of participating in a lecture presented by Manoel Robeiro, who kindly dedicated 30 minutes of his session to our Junior Engineer, Klever, to present two of Gervasi’s innovative technologies: Gervasi Briquetting and Gervasi Mini Sintering.
The presentation highlighted how these solutions help optimize the use of mineral fines and industrial residues, increasing process efficiency, adding value to production, and supporting more sustainable practices for both the mining and steel industries.
Following the presentation, Gervasi also participated in a live podcast held as part of the MINERACON program. The discussion provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas on innovation, sustainability, and the challenges facing the mining sector, while strengthening relationships with industry professionals and companies attending the event.
