ABM Week is Latin America’s most important technical and scientific event in the fields of metallurgy, materials, and mining. Organized annually by the Brazilian Metallurgy, Materials and Mining Association (ABM), the event brings together professionals, researchers, companies, and institutions from all over the world to share knowledge, present innovations, and discuss the future of the industry.
This year, Gervasi was honored to be an official sponsor of of the event, taking part in the Steel & Recycling Division at Booth #69 with a full schedule of activities and presentations focused on innovation and sustainability in industrial processes.
🔹 Day 1 (Tuesday, Sep 9) — We opened with on-site networking, live demonstrations, and welcoming attendees at our booth. A great opportunity to showcase our cutting-edge solutions and connect with industry leaders.
🔹 Day 2 (Wednesday, Sep 10 – 2:40 PM, Room 06) — Our technical session “Vibropressed Briquettes: A Viable Method to Valorize Industry By-Products” explored our Bricks technology, which turns dusts and fines into stable briquettes, enabling safe reuse in BF/EAF operations. This approach supports flexible feedstock management and higher internal recycling rates.
🔹 Day 3 (Thursday, Sep 11 – 2:40 PM, Room 06) — We concluded our participation with the presentation “Pot Sintering Technology: Operational Performance and Industrial Integration,” highlighting the Pot-Sinter system — a batch sintering solution using vertical pots, designed for compact, scalable plants with high reuse of metal-bearing by-products.
